Money from donations is used to fund our small scale community development projects, sponsor our children, and allows our random acts of kindness where we believe it is necessary.
For example, $3 will buy 6 pounds of rice, $25 will buy 3 laying hens, $80 will buy 1 pregnant goat, and $150 will keep a child in school with hot lunch for a year.
Grassroots Uganda works in partnership with a registered 501c3 charity in the USA called TAUP. 100% of the money donated through TAUP reaches back to Uganda. Donating through TAUP, guarantees the donator a tax deductable receipt.
TAUP is registered in Montana as a non-profit public benefit corporation and is tax-exempt under U.S. federal and Montana state law, tax ID number 27-3639097.
Grassroots Uganda and TAUP are also pleased to partner with House of Hope, a community based organization in the Masaka district of rural Uganda that is providing free education, nutritious meals and medical care to more that 250 children. Contributions to support House of Hope can be made below.
